Cool Lost Files

I am trying to figure out how to use a 128 MD SD card. I used ActiveSync to copy a 3mb MP3 file to the Axim. Then did a cut and paste to put it into a folder on the SD card. It seemed to go well, then the file just disappeared. I tried it twice and the same thing happened.

I have other files on the SD card that I was did transfer the same way sucessfully. Except I believe now that I also had one other disappear. Any idea what is happening???

Also, is this the only way to put files on the SD card? Must be a better way!!!

Try this: Open the window on the PC where the source file is. Now open Activesync>Explore and open the SD Card folder and navigate to where you want it to go. Now you can cut and paste from the first window to the second, just like they were both on the PC. In fact, after you open Activesync>Explore, you can actually minimize that window and just use the Desktop explorer. By having Activesync open in Explore the directory structure is fed to the desktop just like any other folder.

I tried that and it still didn't work. I am back to thinking my SD Card is not working. I removed the card from the Axim and the folders I thought were on the card were still there when I turned the Axim back on!!

Question: When you are in File Explorer, what are the two icons just to the right of Edit Open ^ ? I thought one to the left was the built in storage and one to the right of that was memory card storage.

I click on the right one and it says Built-in Storage - not SD storage.

What is the left icon???

I was confused because in another thread someone told me if the Axim cam on when you installed a card, tehn the dard was being recognized. Appears not to be the case. Think I haev a bad card???

What brand card is it and where did you buy it? Some Axim owners have expressed various problems with Sandisk 128MB SD cards. Do a search to find out more.

Good luck...
