Worried I want an Internet connection on my Axim when i connect it to my comp.

Hi,

When i was on holiday, and i connected my axim to a computer using DIAL UP MODEM CONNECTION, the internet on my axim worked automatically.

Now at home, i got cable internet, and it doesnt connect to the internet. Is there a way i can get my Axim X5 (Windows 2003) connected to the internet while attached to its cradle and plugged in my computer when i have cable modem?

Any help would be appretiated

Thanks!

There's really nothing to it, it should just pick up on the fact that there is an internet conenction.

Make sure that your network connections are not set to "My ISP". It could be looking for the dialup connection and not see the Broadband.

How are you connecting to the Internet? PC straight to the modem? Router?

How do i turn off the 'MY ISP' in the network connections?. I tried everything, and it still doesnt connect to the internet. My computer is connected to a Router, thats where my computer gets the internet from

Heres what i did in order:

1. Press START > SETTINGS > CONNECTIONS

2. PRESS CONNECTIONS

3. Go to the ADVANCED tab

4. Press SELECT NETWORK, and change the 'MY ISP' to 'MY NETWORK'

5. TATAA...ITS DONE...it started detecting my Cable modem connection!
