Activesync disconnects unpredictably:

Activesync 3.7.1 seems to want to disconnect after a while of sitting on the cradle. It never connects itself back. Both Axims are running PPC 2003 and both laptops are IBM T40s. Both laptops are running Windows XP.

I have checked all the potential software related settings and all look fine. USB power saving in DEVICE MANAGER has been turned off. I have installed a USB hub on one of the laptops, but it made no difference. I have hard reset the PDAs and soft reset them as well. I have uninstalled Activesync using the experts instructions---following them to the letter. Nothing clears up the disconnect issue.

Microsoft has some kind of USB patch, but it doesn't seem from the Knowledge Base article that it would directly address our issue. It is not a question of Windows XP rebooting and then having the usb not connecting issue. It is that Activesync connects and syncs fine and then will just disconnect after a 1/2 hour or more of sitting on the cradle.
Any help is appreciated.

Can you email me one of your wcesmgr.log files. Just search your hard drive for the file name, and you should find it. PM me, and I'll give you an email address to send it to.

Same here. This problem started when I upgraded to PPC2003. With PPC2002, it never happened. I now downgraded and the problem is gone. So I believe this is a problem with PPC2003.

I have had the same issue for a year now. The only thing I have been able to do is undock and redock. Once I do that it will not disconnect again.
