Is the D-Pad too bad for gaming?

I have heard that the D-Pad is no good forgaming. is this true? Unfortunatley :p I play a lot of games, and I really need to know if the D-Pad will be able to standup to it. Any ideas? (btw, I'm talking games like turjah2, tetris, gameboy emulators and nintendo emulators)

I haven't had many problems with it. It has a pretty good layout for nes games. I do wish the d-pad had a lot less play in it though and had better feedback, however it is still acceptable and i'm able to play games with out much trouble.

I'm a gamer myself, and so far my buttons are ok.

I had a plam v before that. My palm had 1 working
button left, the others died from intense gaming:D

Mine would constantly "stick" one direction (in software) until I installed the d-pad patch.

At first I didn't like the dpad at all, but after a day or so, I got pretty used to it. Mine sticks every now and then, espcially when playing Metalion or Interstellar Flames, but from what cybermage says, I just need to apply the dpad patch.

I only play pac-man and ms. pac-man, and the d pad has been fine for me.

I also play a lot of games, and have not had any major problems. If you will change the repeat rate to slow, then you shouldn't have as many problems with it sticking.

How/Where do you change the repeat rate?

repeat rate is in start settings, buttons, up/down control. Set it LOW and you should be good. I use my Axim for NES emulation and have been hooked on Zelda for a while and it works fine.
