Battery Power Lost Message (Axim V)

I had to replace the back-up battery of my AXIM V as it was too low (about 1 year old). Replaced with a new one and it seemed fine. However, since then I am very often getting the following message: "Battery power lost. The system has entered sleep mode. Data loss may have occured."

I checked my main battery and the power is reported as 100%. Same for the back-up battery (100%). Even while in the cradle with power applied, I still get this message and the unit shuts down.

Using PPC 2003.

Any solution/advice for this situation? TIA.

Pat.

Problem fixed

I fixed the problem by slightly bending upwards the contacts that connect the main battery (not the lithium back-up battery)to the Axim. I had also already cleaned the contacts of the battery itself with an eraser, but that alone did not work.

After bending the contacts (5 of them)I know have a good connection between the battery and the Axim and the "Power lost" message has not appeared since. Crossing my fingers.
