Question Questions re memory cards

I posted last night in the Multimedia section asking for opinions re Viking vs. SimpleTech for a 512MB CF card (available from Buy.com for roughly the same price, ~$100 after $50 rebate), but no one has replied. So I'm trying again here: Anyone have an opinion as to which brand is better?

Also, I ordered a SanDisk 256MB SD card from Dell along with the Axim (due to be delivered tomorrow), but I've been reading so many negatives about the SanDisk cards, I'm inclined to return it and order a Lexar SD card from Buy.com along with a CF card. My question is, will Dell accept a return of the SanDisk card without my having even tried it?

And last but not least, since I've never used a CF card before -- and the Sena case I've ordered doesn't have a cutout for one -- can someone tell me if the top of the CF card will be flush with the top of the Axim, so I can have it inserted and in use with the case closed?

Thanks in advance for any and all help!

Can't answer your question as to which card is better (CF), I am using PNY and no problems. Heard the same about the Sandisk. I won't use them.

As far as the CF card and a case is concerned, the CF case actually sits lower then the profile of the Axim, so having a case cover up that section should be no problem.

I have a 256 MB Viking CF Card I bought from Buy.com awhile ago (for about $20 more than it is now ) and no problems . I bought Viking because I have a 128 MB CF card in my digital camera. I am happy with with both. The deal on Buy.com for the 512 MB is a great buy. I also have a 64 MD SD card from PNY and that hasn't given me any problems either.

The CF card actually sits below the top level of the Axim. The Sena case shouldn't be a problem. I'm waiting for my case too!

Hope this helps.

Thanks all!

No one has commented that they don't like the SimpleTech CF card, so I'm going with that one -- only because it will ship a little quicker than the Viking.

Instant gratification, y'know? ;)
