Converting Palm files to Axim

I have an old palm pilot and i'm considering getting an axim x5. On my palm, i have franklin planner software, which has all my phone numbers as well as a host of other vital information. I was wondering if there was any to transfer the software as well as the phone numbers over to my axim.

No, but you might check with Franklin planner to see if there is a PPC version. If the Franklin can sync with Outlook, you can transfer from the Palm to Outlook, then sync the Axim to Outlook and pull the data down.

Yes, Franklin Planner (nowadays Franklin Covey) has software that works on the Axim, called PlanPlus for Outlook. They have a 30 day trial version. It works smoothly with ActiveSync and I have been using it now for about two weeks without issues, except for the occasional unresolved item. For previous Franklin Planner users it should be a huge relief to be able to finally sync your outlook with your paper planner (which of course is not paper anymore!).

I have a palm phone which I have with me at all times. When I got my Axim, I went through the same delimma as to how to transfer my appts, contacts etc. I did not want to sync both with outlook. I found this software called SyncTalk worked really well. (Via IR)
