Operating System & ROM

I know this question has been asked a number of times but I'm still confused. Is it currently possible to upgrade the operating system on my 300 MHZ X5? I have ROM Version A00.

Yes and no. You can upgrade to PPC02 ROM A03 from the Dell downloads
For the 300 model, you want:
Dell Axim X5 ROM Update for Pocket PC 2002, v.04100300EN, A01
Release Date: 04/25/2003
Description: Axim X5 ROM Update for Pocket PC 2002, Advanced and Basic model.
(Note, even though this download is labeled A01, it, in fact, installs version A03).

Up until about a week ago, Dell was also selling an upgrade to WM03 on their website, but it apparently have been pulled from the site. This is the second time they'e offered and and then stopped so it's anyones guess if it will be offered again.
