Hello,

I have two questions regarding my Axim X5 (400 Mhz).

1) In my Microsoft Outlook (v2002) (on my pc) under Tools menu, I have an option "Windows CE Inbox transfer". what the heck it is? And secondly, when I click on it I get this message "Unable to connect to mobile device. This version of Window's CE Inbox transfer will not function correctly with this device."
Note: My Axim 5 is connected with the desktop via craddle (Active Sync).

2) Second question deals with Microsoft Street & Trips.
I have a 2001 version of Microsoft Street & Trips, it also has a Pocket CE version. I want to know is it safe to use this version (CE) on my Axim or should I buy the one for Pocket PC 2002 version?

Thanks.

I also had a question about Microsoft Streets & Trips. I noticed on my PC, that the program has the option to send "directions" or whatnot to my PDA. So I assume that I'd also have to buy a pocket version of the software as well?

Microsoft versions -- who can understand them?

It's fine to run any version of Streets on the Axim. It's been a while since I played with the program, but got the PPC version free. I don't remember --maybe it was in the box, but more likely it was a free download from the Microsoft site. I would check this out.

I'm pretty sure the desktop and PPC have to have the same version of the program. You know Microsoft -- always changing the file formats for no good reason.
