Question mp3 vs WMA - which do you prefer?

I'm wondering if I should ditch my mp3's at 128kb/s in favor of WMA. I read that WMA files sound better than mp3 files at the same bit rate. Is that true? I know the WMA files are larger, but how much?

Also, I'm thinking of switching from the Windows Media Player to another player, possibly withMP3. Will any other Pocket PC player play WMA files?

They're actually smaller.

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure they're proprietary.

I play both MP3 and WMA files on my pocket WMP. There is a slight difference in sound if both files are at 128KBps. The most notable to me is the size. And that would depend. So far I only encounted maybe 2 files where my WMA file at the same bit rate is actually larger than my MP3 file. But for the most part, my WMA files are smaller by maybe 1MB compared to my MP3 files.
