How do you make a period via transcriber?

I can make a period (.) if I place it right after a word that I just wrote using transcriber (before it has been recognized), but how do you insert a period after text that has already been recognized? Try it!

Write a few words using transcriber and let it recognize the text. Then place the cursor after one of the words you wrote and place a period there. Only way I can see to do it is to bring up that little keypad with the symbols. I see no way of doing this with the transcriber. Commas are the same way.

It worked for me. I put the cursor at the end fo the sentence forgetting the poeriod(.) then i draw a small / or even slightly smaller but going in from down to up (NOT Up to Down) and I got the period.

Interesting trick. If the small '/' worked for a period, I wonder what would work for a comma. The software would probably not ever put up a comma ...
