SD memory still causing problems with the X5?

Hello everyone. It has been about a year and a half since I have visited this site, so I need a little bit of updated information. I am just now getting the dust off of my Axim X5 I have had for almost 2 years now. I want to get a SD 1 gig memory chip for my Axim and I was curious if there were still memory lose problems with the Axim and the secure digital chips? If not, is there any difference in the manufacturer of the SD chips? Which would you guys recommend? Thanks for the help.

There have always been horror stories about Sandisk cards but it seems that they have cleaned up their act a little.

If reliability or performance are important, go with Lexar, Panasonic, Toshiba etc. If price is important go with Sandisk.
