Excel Files to CF Card

I have an AXIM X5 with 32 meg of memory so I put a lot of things on the CF card. I noticed my Excel & Word Files are in the device and would like to move them to the CF card. I see that when creating a file I get the option of where to save it and if I choose CF file explorer shows it is there. So, can I just move all the files over to the CF card? If I do that will Excel and Word know where to find them and will they still be backed up properly when I sync?

Word & Excel will find them, so you can move them safely. Activesync won't back up the CF card, though: but data is very safe on such devices.

Word and Excel should find them no problem on your external storage.

To sync them you will need something like MightySync (link in my MyPDA) as Activesync cannot do this.

my experience is that you should make a My Documents folder on the CF and put them in there.
