Syncing Axim with cell phone PIM

I've been searching the threads but can't seem to find an answer to my question...no doubt I'm just using the wrong search keywords because I'm sure this has come up before...

Anway...My Axim should be here in the next couple of hours (yeah!). I also purchased a new Motorola T720 cell phone.

What I'm wondering is if there's a way to sync the Axim with my cell phone. I'm planning on buying the Gomadic cable to connect those two to use the phone as a modem, but I was wondering if there's some software that would let me transfer and sync contact and datebook information between the two.

I've been holding off reinputing all my contacts into my phone since I have to do that with my Axim. I want to be able to just put all the information on my Axim and then sync it with my phone.

Can this be done?

I know I can sync my phone with my PC, but I'm hoping to have to avoid buying another cable and software for that. Besides, my PDA tends to be my most up to date as far as dates etc, and when I'm on the road it would be great to be able to put that infor in my phone for when I don't have my Axim with me...

Any suggestions?
