Axim used for phone calls?

I've seen where some people mention using their Axims to make phone calls, how is this done?
Thanks

Also works if you have a CF GPRS/GSM card.

As I understand it these CF GPRS/GSM cards need the axim on at all time to recieve phone calls - so battery life is a major concern

GiGi you seem very knowledgable how can I put my PPC recording onto a disc. It is a wav file. When I backed up my files I had not idea how to pull it up bacause it only said default on the CF Card but I could not open it because it asked for me to click on a program that I wanted it to open in and I didn't know what to open it in because word, wordpad etc. just had a lot of boxes and lines.

you never want to open a .wav file in any kind of typing program, they are only made for words not sounds :approve: if you are tryin to open it on the PPC try opening it throught windows media player or beta player what you use, if you are trying to open it on PC just open it in Windows media player, i know it plays .wav fine. JDH

BTW on PC to open a program in windows media player, right click on the file, then go to open with..., then after that find windows media player on the list, and there is even a box that says"open file type with this program always"

LOVE,

JDH

If you actually want to make a copy on a CD or something, you can copy it via ActiveSync. When your device is connected to your PC, click on File - Explore on your desktop ActiveSync. Locate the .wave file and copy it over to your PC. You can burn it from there. However, you should note that you would not be able to just take the disc and play on your car stereo, etc. since only PCs play .wav. You would need to burn into an audio CD format. (However, some CD players play .mp3 so it would be fine if you converted into .mp3).)
