OVERCLOCKING

Has anyone tried to OVERCLOCK their Axim?????

I recently tried TURBO TRAY 498. It worked for about
2 minutes, then froze my system up. Had to soft reset,
then everything went back to normal.

Anyone have success with any of these type programs??

I have both, a 300 and 400 Axim. I'd love to get the 300
boosted up. Just call my 300 "the experimental Axim" LOL

Please don't reply with warnings that I will FRY my Axim.
I'm well aware of any risk:p

I don't think you can fry your Axim with the max settings. At most your Axim will crash and you'll have to hard reset it.

umm you should be careful when you try this, and at least make a full backup, but I have seen people say XscaleCtrl works ok and thers another one too, do a search and you'll find some info on here.

Axim XSCALECTRL

I just tries the XscaleCtrl for the Axim from Handango.com.

It's supposed to overclock your 300 to 400. Also your 400 to 500.
It's works with some programs, unfortunately, it locks up with
others.

It cost 3.50, so it's not much of a loss.

Has ANYONE tries this program???

I've tried turbotray, and it worked for a while...then locked up.

I then deleted it. BUT, then I was told not to click on the icon
on the system tray while it was running, that causes lock ups.

I had clicked on it before most lock ups. I'll try it again.:D

I was just hoping to have control over which speed it runs at.
XSCALECTRL let you go from 100mhz to 400mhz.

I'll test turbotray again and let you know how it works!

Thanks

pocket hack master works on my 400. I use it to slow down to 100 for battery conservation. It will push successfully to 500 and for 300's it's been successful at 400. It does a lot more, too, but the biggest number of users are over/underclockers.

I'd love to try it, but I just don't want to keep spending
cash on something that may NOT work on my Axim.

I already spent 3.50 on xscalectrl, don't want to get burned again!

I've heard great things about pocket hack though...;)

Most of my luck with o/c on a 300, is with Xscalectlr Advanced with the values L = 32, M = 4, N = 1.0 this will get your bus up to 230mhz, and 472mhz cpu. No problems yet, noticable difference.

I can overclock my Axim Advanced to 590 MHz stable... And boy does it cook at that speed. Using L = 32, M = 2, N = 2.5 with Advanced XScale Ctrl. Everything zooms at that speed.
