A friend of mine ...(sure it is)... is using my Axim for gaming... umm, I mean work... I have not changed any of the memory setting on the Axim itself. When she tries to open a saved game an error message appears " Error: More memory space is needed!" The game is installed on a 256MB CF card, of which it only has about 20MB of data on it. I haven't installed anything more then say 3 MB in it Main Memory, I have 63.54 free. Built-in memory is at 20.61MB free.
Anyone have any ideas as to why i would receive this error message?
I have no idea why this would pop up, but have you tried to just do a basic soft reset. Sometimes that helps when I get wierd error messages. What game is it?

I have done the soft reset as well as sliding my memory setting all the way over to programs with about 10MB left over for storage. Everything else works fine off the card mind you.
The game is Fade. It kicks butt, up until now anyway!
jeah. I think maybe the file is corrupt. I can open a new game and begin play. The file sizes are exactly the same, so I'm thinking it is the file. My friend is just going to be very disapointed that she has to start over again..
My friend had the same error in Fade. You can load a successfully saved game and make only a simple change (pick up an object, change locations) and save the game. When you try to load the last saved game there's a "not enough memory" message and it kicks you out of the game. A hard reset doesn't help and the latest patches 1.06 and 1.07 (Gamma for IPAQ, not needed) are loaded. Haven't tried reinstalling the program yet. If anyone has ideas or solutions, they would be greatly appreciated. This is really is an awesome game when it works!
My friend just restarted the game. Aggrivating to say the least but she's still at it. No one on the Fade site was any help, leaving me to believe it was a currupt file. Start over my friend, is all I am going to say.
I made a backup of the 3 saved games in the Save folder (copied files to SD card) and then backed up my data. I did a hard reset but did NOT restore my backup. I then reinstalled the game with the patches and started the game and saved a game (to create the Save folder). After copying my old saved games to the Save folder, I was able to load a good saved game, continue and successfully make (and later load) a new saved game. The previously corrupted saved game still didn't load.
Fortunately I didn't have to restart the game and could continue from where I left off. :)
Unfortunately I had to start from scratch with the rest of the Axim. :(
