Serial Cable
I am wondering if there is a cable that will allow me to use my AX to connect to my network switches, firewall etc. via a serial interface? TIA

Now as far as the software to do what you are asking, I dunno. If it is web based that you are in luck.

You have to call for the cable.

You'll also need a null modem adapter(Radio Shack $6+ 9 Pin M/F) and a M/M gender changer(Radio shack again) to connect to the cable you are using.(Cisco console cable for instance.)

The Axim has a built in terminal. It's supposed to be just like the after dial terminal when you connect with analog. (Haven't tried it yet, but the lack of a capture keeps me from wanting to.)

Pocketty is a good terminal program. I tried out the Lite version(free), but the capture feature wasn't working at the time. They said it was a known bug when I contacted them, they said they would contact me when the new version came out. Haven't heard back from them in over a month I think.

what I really want to know is why that item isn't shown on the website.
