Question for PPC 2003

Can anyone tell me how to change the text color on the home screen of the Ax? I am running PPC2003.

Load a different theme (there are tons of Today themes available). Or, if you like the theme you have but don't like the text, download Theme Generator 2.0 (it's one of the Power Toys) free from Microsoft (www.pocketpc.com). It will let you open up a theme (they have the .tsk extension) and modify almost everything about it, including text and line colors. One thing to note, though--it was designed for PocketPC 2002, not Windows Mobile 2003, so when you get to the part where you are supposed to be able to send the theme to your PDA, it will come up with an error. No biggie, though, since you just need to manually copy it to your PocketPC via the ActiveSync Explorer.

You can also control the Today screen text color through the registry. The key is \HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Color\4. If it does not exist create a new binary key. Enter the color as a hex value in the following format: rr gg bb 00. For example, white = ff ff ff 00. You can do the same for the horizontal bars on the Today screen as well using this key: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Color\6
