Speeding up the CPU

Anyone with a Axim X5 300mhz basic model use any of the programs to improve performance of the unit? My media player does not operate smoothly and am wondering if I speed up the unit, it will help? Any ideas, or recommendations. Thanks in advance for any information, or insights.

As far as I can see, the best way to speed up the X5's preformance is to save as much main memory as you can. I have a 256 SD card and put all of my programs on their. I go wireless frequently and all the PIE's cookies and temp images take up alot of space. To couter this, I downloaded RescoFolder Explorer 2003, with Registry Editor, and changed these registry settings to the path on the SD where they should be kept:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Explorer/Shell Folder/

And change the Cache; Cookies; History; to the paths on the SD card you wish they'd be kept.

Speeding up the cpu

This sounds pretty logical to me. Can you step me thru the process? I'm thinking these steps are necessary.

1) Backup in ActiveSync

2) install Resco

3) Go to Registry

4) Change Registry for Program location per your note :

HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Explorer/Shell Folder/

Correct?

5) Restore backup

Will this do it? Also how do I change the cookies, and Cache, etc
