Help with contacts please

I'm making great strides getting my data off my palm pilot into my Axim. I can now copy contact info from Outlook and sync it. My problem is each time a sync a new catagory in contacts,, it overwrites the existing one on my Axim.. I renamed it differently in Outlook, but it still overwrites. Please help me

I'm not really sure what you're asking. Could you describe what you're doing? I'll see if I can help.

One thing to note is that the Activesync 'Sync only this category' functionality does not work. Everything is synced every time. I was very dismayed to find out that I couldn't sync just my 'business' category items at work and just my 'personal' category items at home.
