Mediaplayer problems. .

Hi folks, any help appreciated. I'm happily playing my music on my Dell, but haven't had any success playing movies, either mpegs, avis on the Dell yet. The file in file explorer says no programme associated with it, and suggests opening the application and loading from there, when I do that, pocket pc player won't let me, it doesn't 'see' the file on my SD card! - Kev.

Windows Media Player for the Pocket PC will only play .wmv files, not .avi or .mpg. There are other players for those kind of files, but I only use Media Player. I am sure, though, that someone else can provide you with links.


Edit:PictPocket Cinema claims to play .wmv, .avi, .mpg, and other.

PocketTV is another. I use it and like it. There's a free version, which works just fine. I haven't tried the "Enterprise" version.

pocketMVP (free) is a great one for playing divx and mpegs... Or you could convert your mpegs or avis to wmv with windows media encoder (free)
