question about error messages

Hi there,

I'm considering to buy me an axim 400mhz but I have a little question: a friend of mine has one like this and he gets a lot of error messages and the program he is working in closes afterwards. Is this the way it is or is there probably a software problem on his axim?
He showed me quite a lot of things that made me wanna have such an axim but not with all these annoying error messeges.
I really wouldn't want this to be a reason for not buying an axim.
What are your experiences with error messages?

Error messages are extremely rare for me, so whatever your friend is doing, or running, is the problem ... not the basic unit.
