Mad compusa sales kid said my axim was big

I came in to return/exchange an IR keyboard I ordered via the web. I was telling them that it was not working too good on my dell axim and the sales kid asked if he could see my dell because I was holding it and he commented that the dell was big and laughed. Boy I wanted to kick him.

I think I am going to back in there and pretend to order a desktop and have them configure it and throw in a tv, a few software titles and when I get to the cash register, go, oh wait, I forgot my wallet, i'll be right back and never come back.

So the kid feels threatened by large hand helds. That's his problem.

ask the little dweeb what he has for around $300 that was 400MHz, had SD, CF. And that was without recent discounts.

Definately, the thing to do is go in there and have him show you his $600 Ipaq. Then tell him you want a GPS and WiFi card (which adds the sleeve). Then pull out your Ax and say you changed your mind because the Ipaq is too big.

As a former iPaq user, I always wodered what in the hell everyoen was smoking who said that the Axim is too big, and that the iPaq is a better size. Also, considering I use Compact Flash, that makes it even MORE valuable, I actually prefer having a WiFi card to built in like the iPaqs, myself, that way I can switch it out, and put in memory (I generally store songs on a 256 MB CF, usually for on the run etc, and programs/files on a 256 MB SD) this whole setup, inside my case (Sena) neatly fits into my Pocket, and the price is right.

CompUSA is generally horribly pro-Compaq though in general...

If its not sold in there store of course they will hate it..

It attracts customers away..

We sell toshibas and HP's and I must say.. I always try to get them to buy a HP over a Toshiba but when I get my axim im gonna have to hide it :]

haha thats pretty funny :D I think that the design of the axim itself with its contours on the front of the device makes it appear larger then it really is, its not until you compare the devices side to side with others that you can really tell its actual size.

Who's down with me to jump the sales kid? :D j/k That was the first and last time that I bought something from there. I will never shop at CrapUsa again. Tried to return that keyboard and they wanted a 15% restocking fee. Im so used to shopping at walmart, target and frys electronics where you can return anything you want with no hassle and no fees. Crap usa just stocks the returned stuff with the new and sell it at full price.

Let's face it and not kid ourselves, it is big.

Bigger than probably every other pda this kid sees in the compusa.

It's also better and does more, and we know that, but I'll admit it, it is big. Whether it's too big is subjective, and personal.

Let's get defensive about it's performance vs other pdas that sell for lots more cash, at least we can argue about that, but as far as size, I'm afraid he's right.

Even though he's right about size, in this case, bigger is better.

No reason to take it personally.
