Question Q: How many times...

How many times have you HARD reset your Axim? (By choice, or not by choice... and I think the latter will be greater)

I have had my Axim for 2 weeks, and have hard reset it: 1 time by choice, and 1 by no fault of my own.

never had to yet...although, I don't keep a lot on the AX itself to bog it down or possibly screw it up...most stuff I've added is on an SD card. But, I'm sure there would be a possible reason in the future where I might need to do a hard reset....just because I don't put a lot on the AX doesn't mean I might not have to do a hard reset some day. I'm just trying to keep the process of recovery as painless as possible using an SD card if there should ever come a day...

I have only had to do it once, and that was not by choice. Although I probably need to do it now.

I think I have done it about 5 times. A couple of times were from when I called Dell tech support with navigational pad problems on my first Axim.

I've had my Axim since December, NEVER Hard reset it yet.
I do a soft reset once in a blue moon though.

Had mine since December, haven't had to hard reset it once.

Occasionally I have soft-reset, more as a convenience instead of shutting down programs.

3 times since since January: twice to isolate a hardware problem with Dell Tech, and once last week to clean up a mess of problems that I attribute to my SD card (need I mention brands?) ;-)

Twice, one because I was checking it out (I had just gotten it) and the other cause I installed a version of JS Landscape that didn't support the Axim and it wouldn't restart anymore... :P

I have had mine since the beginning of March and like you I have never had to hard reset it (knock on wood). I too have soft reste it about 4 - 5 times so far.

Well I hard reset it one time, the scary thing is it hard reset itself 2 times already, whoops, good thing I make full backups often.

Well, no wonder it reset if you treat it like the one in your avatar. :)

I also have not had a hard reset since I received it (late December)(and that loud tapping noise is me knocking feverishly on wood)

I did it once or twice since I received my mid-December by choice. I had messed up with a couple of apps but since then, I have never had to do a Hard reset.:D
