Windows Mobile 3 Update

I know I'm late with this question, but I have one of the very early Axim X5's with PocketPC2002 and never upgraded the operating system.

I can't find any way to do this on the Dell site, but have seen posts saying you have to call.

1. How much does it cost?
2. Is it worth it? Why or why not?
3. Where can you get it?

It is no longer available through Dell. I also contacted Microsoft and they do not offer it either. Dell will not support it.
You can get it on Ebay.
I have never updated as some people have issues with the update others do not. I have updated my ROM but not my operating system.
