I'm committed to staying with my X5 as well. I love the large screen and don't find the device to be chunky at all. I'm considering upgrading the ROM (still running A00..).

I use my device very similar to ChirstineC including occasionally unplanned bounce-testing, just to remind it who owns who.

I've not suffered from performance or screen quality. Most of my complaints about the device are software (esp. MS) related, so a new device isn't going to change those.

I'm waiting for something that solves either: a good cell phone built-in or an even larger screen that remains pocket carry-able.

I have heard people having problems with the drain of the x50s and the capacity of the battery.
Also, I don't see the need to spend a bunch of money, since the X5 I have does everything I need....and more.

Well, I for one think the size and weight of the X5 is a positive point. It's built like a brick S**thouse and I've dropped mine a couple of times with no damage. I like the weighty feel of the X5 - you know when you've got an X5 in your hand. Yes, it's a man's PPC.
