Question Two minor things... and one question...

I'm a fairly new Axim user... I have been nothing but happy with my PPC since I got it, but there are two minor annoyances I hoped somone might help me with and a feature I'm wondering if is avalible on the X5

If I soft-reset the device, I have to manually open up settings, system, switcher. Is there a way to place a shortcut to switcher in the startup folder (or equivalent)?

Second, I'm on a wifi nework (ad-hoc between my axim, my desktop, and my laptop --- hopefully expanding to my roommate's desktop soon) and when I go "open share" in file explorer, I always get and error that vanishes before I can read it (sometimes I only know there's an error because I hear the chime) but I believe it said something akin to 'share not found' or 'cannot access' or something of the kind. HOWEVER, if I pull up IE and type in the \\computername\sharename\ in the URL bar, then it switches me back to File explorer and opens the share fine! Is this just a glitch or a problem waiting to happen?

And finally,

I have like 20gb of files on my desktop. Most of them are between 4 and 600 mb. (the latter cannot fit on my PPC no mater how much space I clear and I cannot fit many of hte former). Is there a setting or program that will allow me to stream files from my desktop to my PPC? I've done with without flaw between laptop and desktop, but the default commands dont offer that option on the axim. Is there a 3rd party (free) program I need to get to do this? (most files are of the .mp3 or .avi extention)

Thanks for your help!
-Ash

I'll handle the first question only, as none of my X5s have wi-fi, or more specifically, I haven't bothered with it.

Try a program called Magic Button. It's free, and not only does it seamlessly function as a "switcher," it also allows your "X" button to function as "close" rather than minimize.

Magic button is INCREDABLE, it makes my life much easier! thank you! I love it!

Anyone happen to be able to help with my other 2 questions now that that one's solved?

you can setup a share your files on your computer and use a program like resco file explorer to access them over the network

You can easily copy the switcher to your startup. Just create a link and copy the link into the startup folder. that's all there is to it.

I have had this setup and working perfectly for about 2 years now.

In addition to resco file explorer, you can look up advanced explorer. I think the registration was $2.00 or something equally small.
