Be sure your data is backed up, then do a hard-reset. DO NOT RESTORE DATA YET. Insert the SD card and see if it's recognized. If it is, you need to restore ONLY YOUR DOCUMENTS and reinstall your programs w/o the backup. If it is not, contact Dell for replacement info (or if you're daring, try opening it up yourself, but that WILL void your warrenty) JPMarth might be right, you could have a damaged slot --- or you might have damaged circuitry if it seemed to randomly reset itself (as to that, you might need to replace the backup battery).
