X-5 connects to internet at home but cannot sync with contacts and calendars

Hello,
I have an x-5 300 pda and i have set up my x-5 to connect to my wireless router (wrt54g) at home. The problem is i can sync with the folders, inbox, favorites, etc. But it will not sync with my calendar and contacts folder. I have tried IKEHIKER's advice in his site but i still have the same problem. Any other advice would be appreciated.

In my experience, the wireless sync doesn't like to transfer large amounts of information. Whenever I've done a hard reset, I've had to transfer the contacts (which is several hundred records) via the cable connection. I don't keep a lot of appointments in my calendar, but if you do, this might apply to that as well. Once the bulk of information is transered, it can handle the day-to-day changes.

thank you for the reply. The problem i have right now is that my sync cable cannot be detected by computer. When i plug in the USB cable i get the "Unknown Device" the only way i can sync with my PDA is via infrared. I can get the wireless to get up and running but it won't sync with the contacts and calendar for some reason..
