wireless/internet explorer issue

I need help figuring out why my linksys CF card WCS54G appears to be working via the x5 with an excellent connection, but internet explorer says every site I key in or select "the page you are looking for cannot be found". It has worked fine for 3 months, now I am getting nowhere with it. HELP

Try Markprieb's 'Welcome screen fix':
Open File Explorer
Go to Windows Folder
Scroll Down to the "W"s
Click on Welcome.exe
You will go through the welcome screen like you did when you first got your PPC (Note: Even though this will take you through the same process like after a hard reset, this is not the same as a hard reset. Your data/programs will not be lost).

Does the PPC get an IP address? Can you ping it?

A freind of mine is trying to connect his X5 with a Linksys CF as well and is having no luck. When scanning for networks we find the network and are able to get a good connection with the router, but just can't seem to web browse or find any computers on the network.
We can't get an IP for it, any help?

Try changing the channel on your router and/or reset it (the router).

Something I noticed, and this is really simple so its probably not your problem, but when I initially set up my home network and my axim detected the wifi, it asked if the network connects me to "Work" or "Internet". In my case, choosing "Work" worked fine, I was able to connect to the internet (via Netfront 3.1) as well as my network with no problem. But when trying to browse with Internet Explorer, I received the "Page Not Found" error every time, even though I was clearly connected and Netfront was able to browse with no problems. It wasn't until I reset it to connect to "Internet" that it allowed PIE browsing also. Still not sure why...

Yeah! resetting the router did the trick! I initially tried different channels unter the advice of Linksys with no luck. Ike suggested that I reset the router, (did this by holding in the paperclip end sized switch on the router) Then, went to the setting website and started from scratch, then vioala (sp?), everything is functioning perfectly. Thanks for all of the suggestions, this site is significantly more helpful than the manufacturer site. I was about to go knock on some doors, since I can see the Dell manufacturing plant and Dell financial from my front window. Thanks again!

Dell is very helpful by providing good products. It ends about there.
