Backup Battery

Other than when the main battery is removed or the main battery is out of power, when does the backup battery begin to be used? The reason I'm asking is that I have not let the main battery ever go below 50% yet but just today the backup battery dropped to 90%. Any thoughts....

That battery meter isn't very accurate. It is trying to detect very minute changes in voltage. Don't worry about it :D

mine goes from 100 to 90 often... i aked the same question as you on other forums.. it's no big deal at all. if you see it continuously dropping to much lower levels then that might be an issue.
