ROM Update and Recording Function

Many of you noted the inferior quality of the Axim recording function. It appears that the problem has been fixed. I have yet to try the record function while traveling in the car (where it was at its worst). Indoors, the quality is crystal now -- no static! Thank you Dell!

VERY glad to hear about this. I use my recorder all the time. What program are you using?

Did you install the new ROM update yesterday along with everyone else in the frantic thread? HEHE, that was enjoyable to read. Before I go through all the trouble, does anyone else confer that updating will clarify recording quality?

Can't say it helped me ... still full of crackle n pop, using side button or software button. You're just lucky.

I did apply the update last night/this morning and it worked fine for me. :D

I tried the recording function in the car. The static and crackle remains! However, I have made many test recordings indoors and the recording function is better one-hundredfold -- no crackles and pops at all!
