New Replacement Help Please
Guys, I'm losing all patience with Dell UK. I received my axim on the 4th of this month, I immediately realised I had a buggered D-pad despite the unit having a C1 stepping. I phoned Dell right away to get a new unit. They said that I could have a refurbished axim the next day. But, I pushed a bit and they said I could have a new Dell but that it would take 15 days!!
Now the techs I spoke to have been based in India (very polite guys actually). Now from what I understand they phone the order through to the UK. I've been ringing both tech support and UK support everyday to find out the status of my replacement. Dell UK refer me to the techs in India who can only tell me that I should receive the Axim by the 14th at the earliest. Fine, but if thats the case surely a new order should have been set up by now, one that I can track online? But, they are unable to give me an order number. It seems that they've phoned the order and now it's down to UK support who are incompetent monkeys!
I seriously don't know what to do with regards to getting a definitive answer and an order number. The only thing I've been given is a Service Call number which shows crap all on the dell site.
What do you guys suggest? How easy was it getting a new replacement for you?
If I don't get this replacement soon I may be forced to go down the refurb route!
