C1 stepping in X5 has 100Mhz or 200Mhz bus?

OK, so it's a fact that the X5 being shipped recently has the 255 Proc (ie: C1 stepping); but can anyone confirm that the bus actually runs at 200Mhz? or was it just a drop in replacement of the old 250 chip with the board still running at the same 100Mhz bus?

Cheers.

That would be my guess and believing it makes me feel better since I have the 250.

It is a drop in replacement.

To my understanding it HAS the capability of running a 200 bus but since the Axim is not a 200 BUS device, it does not.

Intel designed it intentionaly as a drop in replacement so they can stop making the 250 and stay with the 255 line and still fulfilling their form factor and contracts with companies. This is an economic choice since they do not have to keep two CPUs manufacturing lines for basicially similar devices.

I have accepted that the PDA that I have is the PDA that I have and I am going to have to life with it.

HOWEVER

That doesn't mean that when another really nifty PDA comes out that I can't have all those new features, because I've come to realize that I need

A SECOND PDA

Because one sits on my desk as an email checker and .mp3 player shoutcast streamer... actually it's more or less turned into my desktop stereo system (plugged into speakers). And I'm tired of taking my little desktop unit out of it's cradle whnever I leave. I'd prefer that it could just live there on my desk.

I really want a new (second) unit that is lighter and has built in WiFi to carry around with me. Basically a 1910 with internal WiFi. Problem is that no one makes one. Yet.

So I'm actually really psyched for my new PDA already. It just doesn't exist. But it will. I have no idea who will make it, but whoever does gets my money.

Meanwhile I'm still totally thrilled with my Axim, regardless of what updates happen until my dream box described above comes out. I'm not gonna Gnash my teeth over benchmark numbers. I figured out a long time ago that benchmarks just make you insane. It's why we have 3Ghz desktop computers now that only about .003% of the population really has any use for.
