W00t I got a X5 for $100

And I hope that the lister made a mistake in his listing..

He said "Dell Pocket PC 300mhz 64mb ram"

nevertheless I'm happy!

The 300MHz version only has 32MB RAM so you should confirm which model you're actually getting.

True, but that is not my point. RAM is internal, which is more expensive than external memory cards. RAM also allows you to run programs, whereas memory cards do not.

Oh well if it has 32mb fine, if it has 64mb fine

I asked last night but no one knew.

besides the program I found, after some 3 hours of looking I need a 64mb Cf card or SD.

plus I asked the seller if it had 64mb of ram and he said yes.

I got mine for like $124 from Dell a year ago refurbished.
256mb SD card was $30 at the time, and a GPS ran me $190
It was a good purchase.

My X5 should be coming in toda by UPS.. at least maybe today or tomorrow.. I did not get a Tracking Number so all I could do was Check to see how long it takes from OH to CT.

The Seller gave me the wrong date I think by mistake.. he said Thursday the 27th but the 27th is a Friday and so I think it's comming today with UPS's website saying

Guaranteed by: By End of Day

2 In transit

It was Shipped on the 24th.

Good job! However, this is a very old ROM, I suggest you upgrade to A04 or A05 if you can (you are running A00).

Also, go to /Settings/About and tell us if your Processor is a PXA255 or a PXA250. The 255 model which Dell shipped a bit later with the X5 is much faster (even if it runs at the same Mhz) because it has double the memory bandwidth. I hope you didn't get a 250 one...

check the metal contacts on the device to see if there's any signs of corrosion. If there is, scrap it with your nail or a sharp object.

Ah! there we go! 100%
I dunno if it was because I pressed the power button once, or cleaned off this little gooey spot on the contact.

wow this battery charges pretty quicky.. But I think I'm still going to get the higher power battery.

Also I got a free 56K CF card..

It's a Ambicom CF56MEZ

How can I set it up to work?
