Rom Upgrade Mishap

This weekend I decided to take the plunge and flash my Axim with the Rom upgrade. Doing my home work I printed out and read through the great document our moderators put together and figured I was good to go. Everything was going just as documented until my laptop decided to lockup half way through the upgrade process, after the laptop was rebooted my Axim was rendered DEAD, Both Soft and Hard resets would not work the Axim would just sit there in the clear data prompt and do nothing. After exchanging a few emails with Dell support it was decided my ax was DOA and Dell would send me a replacement. Determined not to lose my baby I tried a few other things and then removed both the primary and backup batteries, performed another hard reset and my Axim came alive again. I then did a Activesync restore and I was back where I started from. I then following the steps outlined in this document went through the upgrade process without any problems.
Lesson learned it appears the Rom does not get flashed until the very last step as noted in this document, so if anyone runs into this same issue all is not lost.
Also the Moderator document on our FAQ section works great.
Thanks Mod's

I am so glad I have a rock solid personally hand built AthlonXP system that has NEVER frozen so that I don't have to worry about stuff like that.

I always thought the hard reset and the hardest reset were the same, function-wise. It's good to know.
