Moving from Toshiba e310 to Axim

I am about to get an Axim as a replacement for my Toshiba e310. Getting my PIM data to the Axim should be easy with a new partnership in ActiveSync and a sync.

What do I do about any installed applications? Can I do a full backup of the e310 and restore it to the Axim? I'm thinking that I can't do this and it would be bad anyways since it will be a different PPC. I'm assuming that I'm going to have to reinstall applications on the Axim, correct?

Any ideas? Would like to be up and running on the Axim as quick as possible, but I didn't know if there were any tricks in going from PPC to PPC.

Oh wow just do a fresh reinstall of everything, including ActiveSync on the desktop. It's worth it.

I agree, just make sure your Outlook is synced one last time. Then fresh install. I don't see why you couldn't Bu/restore but foa frsh to keep all those scraggler files off the new PPC unit.

Thanks for the info. Guess I was just being lazy in not wanting to reinstall all my apps.

Clean installs are good.
