I have never heard of a x3. Is this a joke, or is there really a x3 coming?

I found something about the x3:

"Early in 2003, the company plans to launch a thin and lightweight Axim, the X3, and a wireless-enabled version, the X7."

Obviously not a joke. :)

If anything, the X3 will be more expensive rather than less. Since it is likely to have the exact same specs as the 300mhz X5 only slimmer and trimmer, there's no doubt it will carry a premium.

I have read many accounts that Dell plans to introduce the X7 wireless unit early 03. That was my initial delay in getting the X5... but I finally decided that when I am ready to go wireless I'll get a card and venture forth onto the WLAN world. Waiting to get an Axim was becoming painful... the more I saw and read the more I had to have one.

Interesting to hear of an X3, real or imagined, that could become a reality. So many 'low cost' 99.00 units out there. Even Royal has come out with a 99.00 unit that has a built in modem with phone jack built in. That portion of the market seems to be heating up in a big way. However, Dell exposure to the masses isn't *that* keen. Anyway, interesting to hear of it.
