Has anyone else had any success printing directly from the Axim to a printer?
I have a HP Laserjet 2100 that I am trying to print to - I beam the word doc, it recognizes the printer, then I get a failed to print error and tap to retry on my screen.
I know people have had success printing to a printer through a laptop or wireless, but I was wondering what I am doing wrong.
Any help will be appreciated!
Thanks,
Lewis

Yes I have. I don't see why we should have to use 3rd party printing software to print, maybe we do. I don't know. But, when I used this software, I could select Excel documents to print, but not word nor emails. The only thing I successfully printed was a couple excel sheets.
Still at a loss. I was able to print using the IR, so the the IR on the printer is working. I must be missing something.

Has anyone tried to download the driver from HP lately? I tried unsuccessfully.

IR printing
The problem with printing is you need a post-script file. If you download the HP printing tool thing, it won't help in printing that much.
My main reason for getting it was I need to print PDF files using my axim directly to a printer. BUT the acrobat reader for PPC does not have a printing option. If you get the HP tool (which is free) and buy (yes sorry but its not free) a program called ClearVue, THEN using the HP tool you should have no problem in printing amost anything directly using IR on your axim.
Hope that helps clear things up abit

Maybe not?
Not sure ClearVue does support PDF files if anyone's interested. HP think they do, although the current version of clearVue doesn't, I think their having licensing problems. I have e-mailed them and am waiting for a reply, will keep you informed.

I have no problems printing with HP mobile printing - I selected IR printer, chose "detect" and the printer was recognized (HP LaserJet 4050). Then I added "LaserJet Monochrome Series (IR)" printer type and since then it works fine for me - I can print emails, word, excel and text files...

HP Mobile Printing
I just downloaded and installed the HP Mobile Printing software mention and it works fine printing through IR. I was able to print out serval documents. Setup could be alittle easier but it was not too bad.
