Question SOS!!! I can't switching on X5

Hi!!

I was loading some TOMTOM maps in the CF card but the process stoped suddenly. I couln't soft reset nor turn off the X5 so I removed the battery. I achieved to switch it off but from that moment I can't use it. A message like this appears (I am translating from spanish): "To delete data from memory press [Button CONTACTS]. To cancel press [Button ENVELOPE]".
I suppose that this is an unrequested Hard Reset, isn't it?
Since I don't want to do a hard reset I press the [Button ENVELOPE] happening the follow: Dell logo for 3 seconds, black screen for 5 seconds and back to the same message.
What do I have to do to avoid the hard reset?

Gracias!!

Well, when taking out the main battery your memory was cleared. Your backup battery must have been low or empty. The best thing to do would be to hard reset.

only other thing worth trying is to use Active Sync to back up the data onto your PC - I suspect it won't work but it's worth trying if you have a lot of data you don't want to lose.
