Distribution list will not activesync to contact list
In my Outlook contacts I have distribution lists and when I activesync, all of my contacts will update but the distribution lists will NOT come over with the rest of my contacts...what is deal? I have worked with a few people on this and they are having the same problem. Does ANYONE have any idea how to resolve this issue? Does anyone know what I am talking about?

Nope, can't be done. It's really a big oversight on MS's part, IMO, as everyone I know uses Group addresses.

Maybe I was a bit hasty. This can't be done directly in Outlook on your Axim. You could create a text file with all the addresses and paste it in.
Also, I think Dinarsoft makes an app that can have data like this quickly available... but I can't remember the apps name.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunatly I work in a university environment and when you are working with doctors and students that are new to the PDA thing (or even old to it), third party software or other work arounds are easier said than done. You're right, it is a huge oversite on MS's part but that does not stop a doctor from getting all bent because he can't have his cake and eat it too.

After running into this problem and searching the archives, I just created a contact entry for each individual in the distribution list and assigned each to a category. For instance, I have 6 people in a project group for Georgia State University. I created a contact entry for each person and assigned them the category "GSU". When you want to send a message to the group, you can view the contact list by clicking on the To: text and filtering the contact list by category. This works for short distribution lists. It becomes very painful for longer distribution lists as I haven't found an "add all" feature.
Hopefully MS will improve this functionality with WM5. I hope this helps!
