I agree wholeheartedly. That's the primary reason that I haven't been around the past several months. I just stopped using my X5 when the touch screen went bad. I used my wife's X5/300 for a while, but it just wasn't the same. I won't spend $100 to replace the touch screen, I won't pay over $300 for a new PDA, and I've lost any confidence I may have once had that Dell will support their non-current products.
Now I just use the PIM functions in my Nokia 6230. It does video, it plays games, and it allows me to read books. All that AND Internet access, and I really don't much need my PocketPC any more. I might look into one of the PocketPC phones (not Smartphone, but one of the ones with a touch screen) if they ever reach anything approaching reasonable pricing, but for now, I have dropped to the level of lurker and not much more.
