Are we (X5 users) Dying out???????
Seems like the majority of the new posts I see are being made by X50 and X30 users. I still love my X5 Advanced and it does everything I need. Oh sure I do get the "wants" from time to time as I see something that the new models do that is really neat but by and large I am still happy with my X5 and it will be making its 4th international trip next week. Just wondering if you other X5ers are begining to get itchy to upgrade.
Just wondering.

I agree
I have 2 X5s (1 for navigation and audio books) and I'm very happy. No one has outline the benefits of upgrading to anything available. Please keep posting relevent info to the X5.

Thanks

I just bought my X5, after upgrading from a Casio EM-500. Granted, I only had the Casio for 1.5 months and have had the X5 for about a little over a month so far.

I still plan on keeping mine for a while longer. I just bought the Rhinoskin Aluminum case, which is awesome. My last major purchase, hopefully will be a GPS CF Card. ^_^

Cheers!

Thanks

Also, the topic, pretty much, lends itself to comment on OTHER devices besides the X5, though it still should be relavent to the overall purpose of the topic :P

I had loved my X5 for 2 years... but I got a new X50v last week. I am planning on selling the X5 with all the adds (Socket Low Wifi, Ambicom Bluetooth,...) So the X50v wont be so expensive. I got the new one because I had the money and the VGA + Wifi and Bluetooth incorporated. And I can keep the X50v in my Pocket because is less bulky than the X5.

For some of us, it's a matter of finances. I would like to upgrade, but unemployment makes that impossible for any time in the near future.

I would NEVER buy a device over $300. I don't have a good enough paying job at the moment, and if I did, I don't think I would pay over $300 for any handheld device.

Now, if they made a bluetooth/wifi combined CF card...think of the possibilities that leaves X5 users...and other users alike...

Been there and you have my prayers.
I love the fact that this has struck a cord and so many are responding. I plan on keepign my X5 indefinetly but may upgrade next year since the company will probably absorb the cost. My primary use of the X5 is e-books, contacts and e-mail reading. However there are so many free WIFI spots poping up around here that it is convient to log in to the net more and more so I may accelerate my upgrade just for that reason.
Keep the comments coming,

Do you have a wifi card? Your comment about hotspots is trivial...

My wife still has her X5 Advance. She uses it with the old Ambicom CF Wifi and has no problems with it.

Me... I have moved on to a Toshiba e800 and the Palm LifeDrive

I've had my x5 for almost 2 years. I've put a lot of work into it. I'd hate to have to start all over again if I upgraded (lazy). I've not really seen anything on the new devices that I HAD to have. My x5 still covers everything I need, and as they say "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".
