x5 activesynch

sorry guys - yet another activesync problem!! i have read the earlier thread re; uninstalling etc but nothing works. i have tried to install it on a friends computer and it is fine - it allows me to set up a partnership, but i don't get that far on my pc. active synch installs and my pc trys to connect to my x5 but my x5 just says no partnership established. please, please help as i am totally stuck!!

will try disabling firewall but i've got a bigger problem now. i thought id be clever and do a hard reset and reinstall all the info back onto my pda but now, cos i can't active synch i can't put the info back on. at this rate i will have a defunct x5!! i hate technology!!

just about getting there. thanks guys but i need to wipe my memory card. when i ask it to list what is on the memory card it says nothing yet on previous screen says its full. any suggestions?

Try your card in a card reader or a different device (e.g., another PPC, digicam) to see if the contents are still intact.

I had the same problem as you describe, After many unsucessful attempts to get active sync to work, I began at the begining and reinstalled the operating system to my laptop [with full format of the c drive] and active sync( and all is ok with the world) ( xp sp 1 to my dell c400)- yes I also forgot to take a backup of the X5 so the job of recreating all the data begins lol
BUT THE X5 WORKS !!!!!
