In and out ... in and out ... could you explain that better?
You either have two files, or you have one file.
Create two folders in My Doc on the ax, and call one "PC x files", and the other "PPC x files". When using the PC, you only modify the PC x stuff, and when using the ax, you only modify the PPC x stuff.
Maybe a neat option would be to have seperate sync rules for different folders.
What we really need is more main memory in the axim, so we don't have to put any working files on mem card ... except for backup copies.

I would like to be able to setup the partnership with a network connection. Although you can later sync with a network connection, you have to setup the partnership with serial, IR or USB connection.

Simple things in life, fix major functionality first.
Working full backup/restore. Very brocken right now. I did a full backup, ROM upgrade, and could not do a restore no matter what (guest mode, reset, etc.).
Stop duplicate items. When I'm syncing between 2 PCs (yes, I have it set for 2 PCs) for first time, a lot of the items are duplicated on the PCs, but the ActiveSync further duplicates them even when there are no changes, this includes Tasks, Calendar, and Contacts.
I would like to be able to reconnect my Axim through activesync after a hard reset without having to rename my Axim. I keep getting "name already in use, do you want to rename your device?" message. How can I do that?
Hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Don't upgrade software unless you need a new feature, it won't work, or has security flaws. (I would have to upgrade my windows os every day if i went by that rule, especailly the security part.)

Activesync truely sucks. How about something that simply connects and works with Synctoy? Synctoy has never let me down when syncing across networks, with servers, making backup, etc.
Apologies if this post is closed (no-seems to have added anything for a while).
The thing that really bugs me with it is the appalling synch-every-5-minutes-when-on-the-USB-cable trick that you can't get rid of. Setting the synch to manual should mean that - it should only synch when you want it to.
Another post said it all - just get it to work. I also have the problem that, every now and again, a synch will leave duplicate entries - contacts particularly.
Last suggestion, open up AS so that third parties can produce a better synch package to compete with it. (As I understand it at present all the 3rd party products work on top of AS - not instead of it. So all the annoying "features" os AS are still there
I migrated from a Palm and there the synch packages worked beautifully - simple and did what it said it did. Would that MS packages were as good (and I believe in the Easter Bunny !!!!):rolling:
