I seen on http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/pocketpc/d...ads/default.asp that there is a service pack 3 is it needed for the axim if so where do i find it

As I understand it we already have it loaded on our AXIM from Dell.

I read somewhere (maybe on the microsoft site) that service pack 3 installation can be verified by checking the software version of media player...should read Version 8.5.
