Internet Connection using cradle

I am totally new with PDAs, but not necessarily with computers. I have a computer hooked to satellite internet running XP Home and ICS is on. I use it to connect my laptop to the internet through a switch. Since I can connect to the PDA using ActivSync, what prevents me from having the PDA connect to the internet through this computer? All my other computers use cat V cable and have no problems. Just wondering..... any ideas? Steve

Nothing prevents you at all. I gave it a shot with PIE, opening CNN.com just to see if I could. Check the Rules tab under ActiveSync - Options. At the bottom there's a section titled "Pass Through". Select "The Internet" from the dropdown menu and you should be good to go. B)

You bet!! While you are in the cradle, if that is your preferred choice, simply open Pocket Explorer and go for it. Type in your address and surf away. You can set up favorites and the whole works. You can also set up Mobile Favorites on your desktop to assist as well if you wish.

There are other ways too... but I wanted to address your question as is.
