I was wondering if there is a way to back up certain things. I want back up my schedule and the Microsoft Money account. Can I do this?

You can backup the schedule using the Data Backup from the Programs menu. Select 'Back up PIM databases only' and uncheck everything except Calendar.

If you are using Money along with a PC version, you can have them sync whenever you connect and the PC version will ask you to backup to a floppy drive every two weeks (by default - you can change the frequency).

If you are not using the PC version, you can probably include the money file among the files that get synced when you connect although I'm using the PC version so I don't have the exact process you'd use for this method.

When you are synced to your PC hit "Explore"

Then you can browse to "\Databases"
and there are money databases in there
you can copy to where you want to back
them up, im not sure if this works or
not but, i dont see why not.....

then during a restore all you would have
to do is copy them back...
in theory anyway...

Thanks for the replies. I tried backing up the database files like you said but it won't let me copy them.

Is Money open? It probably won't let you copy the file while it is. Go to Settings/System and open Switcher Bar - it will allow you to shut down Money.

Any reason why you don't back up everything?
