Question Email via bluetooth

I am considering buying a Dell Axim.

In addition to calendar and appointments, I want to use it for email on travel. I plan on buying the bluetooth CF card and connect to the internet direct through ny Nokia 6310.

Has anyone any experience with this combination? Is there enclosed email software for direct connection (or just for downloading from the PC?).

I will use my Axim with a Nokia 6310i, connected through bluetooth. There are some known issues you should consider before buying any bluetooth cf.

Nokia 6310/i will work only with the original Nokia bluetooth DTL-1/DTL-4 or with the socket bluetooth cf. I believe the DTL-series aren't anymore produced by Nokia.

If you don't want to buy none of these cards (I buyed the dtl-1, because of the size. There is no antenna outside the pda) you should update the firmware of your Nokia. The new version 5.50 for 6310i is available since few weeks. The new firmware should support also other bluetooth cf.

DTL-1 DTL-4, are these PC-card or CF-cards that can be used with the Axim?

My Nokia 6310 works with a TDK bluetooth PC-card. The Nokia Suite does not work with this card, but the software supplied from TDK gets me on the net.

Does that mean that my telephone will work with the True Mobile (TM) Bluetooth Compact Flash-kort supplied by Dell?

Are there other CF Bluetooth cards available? Will these work with my Axim and Nokia 6310?

The DTL cards are CF cards, but the are shipped with a pc-card adapter. You should be able to use them. I hope they will work with Axim, since I've bought the DTL-1 at Ebay... I can tell you more in few days.
